A book from Hopeman, a small fishing village in the North of Scotland capturing the local doric language used in words and speech over the last 200 years. John was inspired to write the book following visits to the local Hopeman Primary School Heritage Class sharing his vast knowledge teaching the staff and pupils. The most prolific change has been over the past 20 years where there has been a large increase in non local residents and now with the younger generation our language has all but disappeared. The book is A5 portrait 63 page and has a variety of content including words, superstitions and other interesting stories.
